Connect with a person

Swap invites with a collaborator once. After that, you can share projects with them.

Open the page “Connect a person or another computer”. It is reached from “Invite someone”.

Steps

1. “Make an invite”. Press “Make my invite”, then “Copy invite”.
2. “Hand over the code”. Send your invite to one person you trust. They paste it on their computer and press “Connect”.
3. “Approve the connection”. A request to connect shows on this page. Check the name. Then press “Connect with” and their name.

When it worked

The page says “Connected to” and their name. The person shows on the “Contacts” screen. Open it from Settings.

More about this

If they sent you their invite first, paste it into “Paste the invite they sent you” and press “Connect”. Then they approve the connection on their computer.

Your collaborator needs an approved Nearfield account too. Send them to nearfieldapp.com to request access.

To disconnect a person, press “Disconnect”. Anything they already have stays on their computer.
