Add a second computer

A second computer joins your account once. Add it from a computer that is on the account. You can do this in the beta.

Steps

1. Install Nearfield on the new computer. Sign in with the same email.
2. On the new computer, open the Account screen. It says “This computer is signed in”. Keep this screen open.
3. On the old computer, open the Inbox. Find the row that says the new computer is waiting to join your account.
4. In that row, press “Show the code”. The same code then shows on the new computer.
5. If the two codes are the same, press “The codes match” on the new computer. Then press the button that starts with “The codes match” on the old computer.

With your recovery code

You can also type your recovery code on the new computer. On its Account screen, press “Use recovery code”. Type the code, then press “Enter code”.

More about this

Add the computer only if the two codes are the same. If they are different, press “Doesn't match”.
