File samples that arrived

Choose which samples from a share go into your library.

When samples arrive from a share, they wait for you in the Inbox, on a card with the project's name. Nearfield does not file them until you say so. A project with nothing that arrived shows nothing.

While a Set from the share waits to go in, the two groups do not show. The press that puts the Set in also files every sample.

The two groups

  • “Library sounds” come from the sender's libraries and sample folders. They are ticked at first.
  • “From this song” come from the sender's project. They are not ticked at first.

Steps

  1. Tick or clear single rows.
  2. Or press the button above a group. It reads “Select all” or “Clear all”, with a number.
  3. Press “Add to my library” to file the ticked samples.

When it worked

Nearfield files them in your User Library, in a folder named for the sender.

More about this

The number on a group button counts every sample in the group, not only the rows you can see. A button under the rows shows more of them.

The button “Add to my library” shows how many samples are ticked.

If you already had some of the samples, a line says how many. If every sample is already here and the Set still points at the other computer, the Arrivals page shows “Use my own samples”. Press “See details” on the Inbox card to open that page.

If a sample is still on its way, a line says so. It arrives by itself.
