Help / Get started / Choose your projects folder

Choose your projects folder

Point Nearfield at the folder that holds your project folders. This is step 1 of the setup.

The page is called “Where do you keep your projects?” This is the same folder you would give to Live's browser. Do not pick a single project.

Steps

  1. Press “Choose a folder”, then pick the folder. To type the path, press “Type the path instead”, type the path, then press “Add”.
  2. You can add more than one folder.
  3. Press “Continue”.

When it worked

The setup goes on to the next step, Sign in to Nearfield.

More about this

Nearfield keeps its own records in a folder named .alsvc inside that folder. It never changes what is inside a Set.

Later, press “Add a folder” on the Projects tab to give Nearfield another folder of projects. See Find a project.
